William McNamara
Financial Advisor
William C. McNamara, CPA, CCIFP® has been an advocate and advisor for a family-owned business for over 35 years. Bill’s investment and commitment as a certified public accountant has led to decades-long relationships with several of his continuing clients. A principal characteristic of those relationships is an understanding that not just the numbers in the general ledger but the stress points that keep owners awake become keys to success. He takes great pride in his client’s successes as a member of their business team. In August of 2024, Bill joined with two long time peers and formed Woolston, Jensen & McNamara in Red Bank, NJ.
Bill has led engagements in every facet of an accounting practice, from the entrepreneur start up, to merger and acquisition transactions and the successful multi-generational succession plans of many Jersey Shore based companies. With an in-depth knowledge of the construction industry, he has volunteered and served as an officer or trustee in several industry related organizations, committees and advocacy groups. Bill relishes the complex dynamics and challenges of construction. He enjoys debunking the 9 to 5 cliché of a cushy profession by being available and in some cases on site just as early as any job crew.
A 1985 graduate of Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) and was the inaugural chair of the Rohrer College of Business Accounting Advisory Board, guiding the program for five years. He is a licensed certified public accountant in New Jersey and Florida. In addition to the duties as the assistant treasurer for UTCA’s Board of Directors he is a Larry Gardner Memorial recipient, Bill received the 2017 Associate Impact Award from the Shore Builders Association of Central New Jersey and has been elected to the New Jersey Builders Association Hall of Fame.
Outside of work, Bill is a proud father, husband, traveler and sports fan. He is also an award-winning photographer who has studied at the International Center of Photography in New York City and has been featured in numerous exhibitions throughout New York and New Jersey.
